Heavy lifting made easy

Afcons is working on the largest bauxite handling facility in Guinea, West Africa. In its maiden job in this country, Afcons has set a record of carrying out one of the heaviest lifts in its history.

It was possible because of the two gigantic 750MT cranes specially mobilised from Europe for this project.

The mammoth 450MT railway car dumper was assembled at the site and then shifted to the spot via trailers. It was then lowered into the ground with the help of the cranes.

The 1600 MT stacker reclaimer was assembled in multiple pieces, with the heaviest being 250MT. The cranes were used to assemble the entire structure.
