
We focus on providing training to our employees, which includes civil training, mechanical training, electrical, electronic and instrumentation training, safety training, fabrication programs and training on execution of oil and gas projects. Further, in addition to technical training, we also conduct orientation programmes for new employees, development programmes for junior and middle management, and soft-skill training. In the Financial Year 2024, we recorded 111,089 man hours of training, thus averaging 7+ man days of training per employee.

Afcons is a transnational organisation, with our projects spread in over 20 countries across Asia, Africa, and, the Middle East. Over the years, we have employed people from over 35 nationalities at our project sites.
Key Afconians are selectively deputed to overseas projects as part of strategic postings. The employees gain global experience and are provided opportunities to inculcate the learnings when they return to India. These learnings are also captured by our Knowledge Management team and the experiences are shared with other employees through classroom-at-site initiatives. We identify high-potential star performers every year, and, they’re given opportunities to explore leadership positions in projects. They are provided adequate support for progression through guided learning and development initiatives.

Independent Director
Cherag Sarosh Balsara is an Additional Independent Director on the Board of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, University of Bombay, a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law from Government Law College, University of Bombay. He has over 31 years of experience as an advocate on the rolls of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
