
He is a graduate in Business Studies and Marketing from London and joined the Shapoorji Pallonji Group in 1988 as a Director. He spearheaded the group’s foray into the Real Estate business in 1992 and, in just over a decade, has transformed it into a multi city, diversified asset class business with over 70 million square feet of real estate space under development. The Imperial Tower – the tallest residential premium residential property developed by the Real Estate business, has won a record seven awards at prestigious Asia Pacific Property Awards.
With an eye on the emerging technological trends and a vision of transforming the Shapoorji Pallonji Group into a diversified conglomerate, Mr. Mistry over saw the take over of the Tata Group’s Forbes-Gokak business in 2001. As Chairman of Forbes & CL, Gokak Textiles and Eureka Forbes, Mr. Mistry has helped the group scale new height in consumer water treatment, home cleaning, security systems, shipping and logistics and bank transaction management verticals.
Mr Mistry was appointed to the board of India Hotels in 2003. He holds Directorship positions on the Boards of several other companies.
He is a noted philanthropist and has been associated with a number of charities concerning health care (trustee of the Masina Hospital, Dadysett Charity Trust and Manockjee Cowasjee Petit Charities trusts) and education (member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards World Fellowship, U.K).
