AFCONS Pvt.. Ltd. successfullycompleted laving of girders of railway overbridge (RoB) of MIHAN in a record time of just 8 days. Working in co-ordination with officials at Nagpur Division of Central Railway, the company successfully launched 8 girders of 80 tonnes without an incident.
The initial draft plan prepared by project officials with railways estimated girders placing work would require 60-days peiiod wiih bloc of three hours. After launching of iron girder it was matter of time, when the 8 huge girders were plated over the railway line, which is one of the busiest of Indian Railways network, said those familiar with the project. Though the work started during heavy rains, due precautions were taken by railway officials and implemented in toto, by the company. Eventually, ensured that heavy girders were placed successfully Since getting bloc from railway authorities during day time was a big problem, the girders were launched during the night time, braving all natural odds.
