International Business Leaders Forge a Future Through Quality Practices
Considered by many to be the Oscar of the business world promoting a modern approach to the pursuit of quality and excellence, the World Quality Commitment WQC Award 2009 Ceremony was held in September ni Paris, within the framework of the XXIII Business Initiative Directions Quality Convention. This award is in reality a double honor: the entrepreneurs and companies from 53 countries who were recognized by B.I.D. not only had the immense merit of achieving the distinctions, but they did so far in a year of financial crisis and turmoil, with grey clouds on thee economic horizon. Yet the complicated environment did not prevent these companies from Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East from maintaining there commitments to excellence and continuous progress. For this reason, they were acknowledged for their efforts by an award that is regarded as one of the most important recognitions of business achievement and quality.
This year, among the B.I.D. awardees, honored a models of talent and success, are business leaders such as India’s AFCONS INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED, experts in development, engineering, and turnover expected to reach 1.0 Billion USD in tow years; Iranian Mahab Ghodss Consulting Engineering Company, experts in civil engineering with projects that range from dam construction to topography and environmental studies; INTECO, of Russia, Leader in the Russian real-estate and developer markets improving global socio-economic objective of Moscow; from Qatar, Oryx GTL, world leader in the conversion natural gas into liquid fuels; Foundry and Forge Division – Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, of India, foremost player in India’s aeronautics and space programs. Bangladesh’s Standard Bank Limited; Shelfgastechnology of Azerbaijan; Energies Marketing form Saudi Arabia; BUA International, of Nigeria; and AFCONS INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED, form India, were also among those honored at the Paris Quality Convention
