India's Most Admired Construction Companies
To be 'admired', according to the dictionary, is to be "an object of wonder and esteem; a marvel". And how exactly does a company set about becoming such a marvel, beloved to both external customers such as clients, investors, vendors and bankers and internal employees?
Well, according to analysts, the four critical points that set an 'admired' company apart are customer perception regarding the value and quality of its product and services; financial performance and market dominance; a passion for employee engagement; and commitment towards social responsibility.
These companies typically have a clear corporate goal to create an environment of synergy where an entire team works together, a living, breathing organism that is focused on creating value for stakeholders using every tool and resource available to it. Key to the success of such an endeavour is management that leads by example, setting high standards and operating in a spirit of inclusion that binds the workforce together and a controlled flexibility that provides results. Indeed, nurturing a common language of engagement with all stakeholders and across the organisation is seen as a major part of an admired company's global strategy.
All these strategies work towards one goal: excellence. And CW—as faithful readers know—believes in recognising excellence, and celebrating it. That's exactly what we are doing this month with our list of India's most admired companies.
But before we reveal who made it, we thought we'd check in with some of our construction superstars. What factors do they believe apply while putting together such an august list?
