The grade separator at Mukarba chowk is completely signal free interchange with four clover leaves for right turning traffic and four slip roads for left turning traffic , a main flyover and carriageway at grade level between Azadpur and Karnal. The project also involves provision of cycle tracks and a subway for pedestrian & cyclist’s faculty first time in Delhi |

The junctions at Mukarba chowk was one of the most heavily congested junctions with peak hour traffic exceeding 20,000 PCU and daily traffic exceeding 3,30,000 per day. AFCONS has adopted innovative measures like construction of slip road and loop in the 20 mtrs. high garbage filled up area , use of slip form paver for construction of RCC crash barriers and working in difficult situation for piling works in the supplementary drain, working in restricted space for loop over like grave yard. AFCONS has completed the biggest grade separator in Delhi to the entire satisfaction of the department , 90 days ahead of the date of completion . |
